I’m Gonna Learn How Satan Works!

I know you’re dying to find out what’s in Satan’s playbook… and now we can find out!

Warren W. Wiersbe has written a free book for the Kindle called The Strategy of Satan and it’ll be released on December 15th.

Strategy #1: Judging from the symbol, become an anarchist…?

I ordered my copy. The high Amazon ranking this book will get thanks to atheists will be a small price to pay for what is sure to be a hilarious way to pass time in the bathroom. (Like you would read a book like this anywhere else…)

It’s interesting that most self-identified satanists are atheists. Official (non-occult) satanism is more like a form of hedonism. Christians are they real Satanists. A good deal of them actually believe in the guy

Uhm, Hemant my man, I read every book in the bathroom…

    What the Hell?

  • Too bad I can’t upload pictures. Look for a meme called “Good guy Lucifer”. My favorite: Punishes evildoers in the afterlife. “Bad Guy”

Loving how Amazon has classed it under ‘Fiction’

  • Trace

I saw that in the aggregate Planet Atheism. Kind of neat.

I think they already have that for sale at Walgreens!

  • Drew M.

Haha! I did the same thing! I can hardly wait.

  • Drew M.

    For free?

  • Reginald Selkirk

I dunno. Here’s a guy who makes a bet with an omniscient being (book of Job). Maybe he’s not the guy who’s strategy you want to be emulating.

My nephew, who is a satanist, would agree with you there. He saya satanists don’t believe Satan is real, but a fictional character that they wish to pattern their lives after. I asked why not choose Voldemort — he’s fictional, too, and pretty kickass, but my nephew just got pissed off.

And how most Christians can’t tell the difference between a Wiccan and a Satanist.

  • How utterly useless Kindle books are. If you think the book’s complete crap and want to show your disgust you can’t even use its pages to wipe your bum!

Voldemort is pretty thoroughly a negative influence, whereas the Satan character is actually a pretty good positive role model.  Satan encouraged Adam and Eve to seek knowledge and better themselves, to think for themselves, to trust their own moral instincts rather than blindly follow commandments.  I say in complete seriousness that we would be better off as a society if more people adopted “What would Satan do?” as a motto instead of “What would Jesus do?”

  • Devious Soybeans

Well, that’s true enough. He’s kind of a dick to Job, though, no?

  • Rod Chlebek

    How to detect him…
Wondering if a dowsing stick is used

The concept of “satan” used in the book of Job is not what Christians today would recognise as the devil. He is literally just doing his job, under orders from god, to entrap humans into going against divine command and then dobbing them in to the almighty asshat.

So technically, yes, he is kind of a dick. But so is god. Zing!

Oh, this is real?? I was getting excited for a spoof book.

  • Waltz707

I have to get it, it comes out on my birthday.

    Maybe thats a sign….?

God is a bigger dick than Satan, by a factor of several million.

Not free. I spotted a copy today next to The Berenstain Bears Show God’s Love.

  • Drew M.

Sigh. If only that Berenstain Bears book was about 2 Kings 2:23-25…

  • I truly appreciate you taking the time to post this. I really liked reading it and am
looking forward to more posts from you! Keep em coming.

  • You know, it’s hard to take someone seriously, at all, if they think there’s a supernatural force out there, just waiting to get them when they’re not looking, that’s behind every bad thing that ever happens. Reading reviews of this book from Christian sites gives me just that impression of this author.

  • Charles Black

I suspect this book is meant to mock Christian beliefs about satan.
    Anyone else think the same?

  • Spencer

Annnnnd it’s released. Got it on my Kindle a few minutes ago. Looking forward to hilarity.

  • I downloaded the book and started reading it. So far, to be honest, I’m not impressed. It’s the same baseless assertions we’ve all seen a thousand times before. Maybe Wiersbe wanted to write an updated version of The Screwtape Letters, but he lacks Lewis’s intellect, erudition, and command of language.
