Hah! If any of my friends is a jerk enough to post something like that (which I doubt), this is getting linked!

  • oooohhh I love it!

  • Andi

    Brilliant!

  • Autumnal Harvest

Nice. A massive natural disaster is a perfect opportunity to score theological debating points. Very classy.

If a natural disaster (and potential nuclear one!) of this magnitude is not enough to make the Japanese atheists, then I don’t know what will! The flip side, is that I am sure a religion that requires “earth worship” will be born of this (if it hasn’t been already!).

  • I like this =)

I’ve seen a lot of people on facebook saying how they don’t feel sorry for Japan because of Pearl Harbor… they all think they’re so witty when they write out with an exclamation mark, “Karma’s a bitch!”

Just because Japanese people bombed Pearl Harbor doesn’t mean all Japanese people did it. How would Americans like it if every bad thing an American has ever done was associated to each and every individual American forever?

Oh I wouldn’t worry. It’s not like the American government ever ordered something as harmful as Pearl Harbor, is it?

  • Who says that religion is divisive. I see human beings who are in need of help. Some believers seem to see something else.

Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it!

Have you really? Just wow. That is actually inhuman. What a disgusting thing to say.

  • Traziness

Wow. Make sure to click on the ‘this‘ link after clicking on the ‘website with that name’ link! I followed them and smiled BIG as I did. More messages like this one should go out for anyone who has the ‘God hates Japan’ thing rolling around in the back of their mind. Of course, their minds aren’t in good working order, anyway, so my expectations are small for them…

I really, really love that somebody made that site before Westboro Baptist Church!

  • Rebecca

Yes, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Then the Americans came in and bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Some people just don’t know their history.

  • Kristi

    It’s awesome!

As Claudia clearly doesn’t. While it may be tough to understand, those bombs saved many Japanese and American lives.

  • Thanks for posting this; donated to both. It’s amazing the amount Japan and its citizens contributed toward Katrina relief efforts; I hope we are kind enough to return the favor.

want to see it for yourself?
Go to facebook, search “pearl harbor” and on the left pick “Posts by Everyone”
    Look through the list…

Like this if you don’t give two crap about the Japanese because they bombed pearl harbor…???

    -Carlos Gonzalez

wonders what the people who died in pearl harbor would say if we help’d the japs’ out… hmmmmm i ponder my thoughs’…

If you wanna feel better about this earthquake in Japan, google ‘Pearl Harbor death toll’.”

I reaffirm, what an incredibly disgusting thing to say 🙁

  • Claudia

I’m certain Americans would believe the exact same thing if Japan had obliterated Los Angeles and San Francisco, killing hundreds of thousands of Americans and causing the US to surrender to Japan. I mean, there’s no chance that what side of the trigger we were on could affect our view of killing untold numbers of civilians with weapons of mass destruction, is there?

  • Not that I’m defending the insensitive, racist, idiotic sentiments by people who have no idea how sickening their ignorance is, but the guy who said “If you wanna feel better about this earthquake in Japan, google ‘Pearl Harbor death toll’.” later apologized and retracted it. The thing that I find annoying about that is that he only did so after the death toll reached a certain point. I think that point was 200… What did he expect?! Well now we’re at about 6000.
But yeah, I don’t want to hear about that “god’s wrath” bullshit. We have enough on our plates as it is.

One thing Americans did that I would not be proud of.

When you discuss the Japanese tragedy with religiots and suggest it may cause many to reconsider their faith, they usually say something like “after the Haiti earthquake, the churches filled with thousands of new believers”. They seem to forget that Haiti has nothing, the people have nothing. Having faith costs nothing and apart from in reality offering nothing, faith can be a comfort for some inexplicable reason. If you have nothing and the church with its fat priests and impressive buildings have something that may be usefull, you’d probably play the faith game to get a bit.
