Speaking at Purdue University

For anyone in the area, I’ll be speaking in Indiana to the Purdue Non-Theists on Sunday, January 30th!

Where:: Lilly Hall Of Life Sciences Room G126, 915 W. State St., West Lafayette, IN

When:: The talk begins at 5:00p.

It’ll focus on how the Religious Right went after me, how I responded, and what anyone else can do in a similar situation.

And then we’ll probably make fun of Jen McCreight since she’s in Seattle and can’t do anything about it. (Ha!)

Come! It’ll be all sorts of fun.

"The way republican politics are going these days, that means the winner is worse than ..."

"It would have been more convincing if he used then rather than than."

  • Damn fools, going after the Indian Atheist Bruce Lee.

    They’re lucky to be alive.

  • Jen

Aw, you’ll be speaking in the biology building too! And in a room I had a ton of classes in! Nostalgia and jealousy 😛

Say hi to my fellow Purdue non-theists for me!

  • Silent Service

Love ya, Hemant, but a 3 hour drive to meet in person and see you speak? Too far. Come speak at Wright State University and I’m there.

  • Meg

We may come up for it unless the weather is nasty. It’s all back roads from here to there.

  • Cameron

    Definitely will be there.

  • Nursejohio

I second the WSU vote! I’d be there in a heartbeat.

  • TheRichDarkEarth

Will you make your speech notes available online?

(Hemant says: My speech notes tend to be minimal — only pictures and whatnot — so they’re useless without me narrating! But I guess my blog is my speech notes 🙂 So if you read it, you know my talk!)

Please schedule a talk in western Ohio, maybe Wright State University or, at a facility in Columbus or Cincinnati. Ohio is raddled with religion, but there are active atheist groups here that would love to hear you speak need external encouragement to let us know that we are not alone.
