Just For Fun

Commenting on the recent post about atheist billboards and ads around the country, our friend hoverFrog said,

I think that Alaska needs one too. Sarah Palin needs to be filmed standing in front of an atheist sign. For the lols.

With nothing to do on the post-turkey gluttony day, I thought I’d indulge in some fantasy fulfillment by way of Photoshop:
palin raging atheist sign

Perhaps readers who like photo manipulation can create, or people can simply describe their own scenes of where and behind whom they’d like to see atheist billboards or ads. Imagine…

  • Peter LaCloset Case standing in front of one of those MIC church billboards that quote biblical passages demonstrating that homosexual love was common in bibilical times.

Sarah Palin with a can of spray paint in front of one of the defaced billboards?

  • The pope, same background.

Billboards are illegal in Alaska as well so this is the best you will ever get.

On a less serious note. Every time I see this picture of Palin I think of this….

Re: Photoshop. How does one justify purchasing Photoshop just to fiddle around with the occasional photo from time to time? I really don’t know how much it costs because, although I just spent about 20 minutes trying to determine the actual cost of the software, I was unable to do so with any precision. I did find prices as high as $700, but that’s way to high a price to pay for me to fiddle around with.

@bigjohn756: Paint.NET and GIMP are both open-source, simpler image editors much like Photoshop. They’re free, and they have almost everything needed to do things like this.

William, here is my version of your idea:

    Pope buzzed by banner

  • That picture of the Pope is going to haunt my nightmares…

    No shopping needed.
If she were any smarter she’d be a blow up doll.

Photoshop Elements can be had for $100 or under, and “photoshop” has become a generic verb in the same way “xerox” did. Most digital cameras come packaged with some basic photo editing software, but that manipulation is still commonly called “photoshopping” it.
