Visiting Virginia for the Weekend September 21, 2010

Visiting Virginia for the Weekend

I’m off to Virginia this weekend for two events!

The first is at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. (Farmville!) It will take place at the Chichester (New Science Building), Room G12, at 6:00 p.m. on Friday night.

The second is for the Lynchburg Area Secular Humanists. It will take place at Rebec Vineyards in Amherst, VA at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. (Fancy, no?) It’s a potluck, so bring some food!

Maybe I should visit Liberty University on Saturday afternoon after the potluck event… that could be fun. Anyone want to give me a tour?! 🙂

Hope to see you if you’re in the area!

  • I’m so excited to meet you! I’ll try to bring something tasty.

  • Hemant,

I’m sorry I’ll have to miss you for your visit to Virginia. I have other commitments this weekend but I’ll be watching your future announcements and if you ever get near Richmond, VA I’ll look you up.

I hope by now you’ve used your substantial star power to write bendable straws into your speaking engagement contracts.

Sorry, you’ll be no where near me. If you ever visit Lord Fairfax College, let us know.

  • Hemant,

Farmville, Va is so close to the 4th district, current political home of Randy Forbes, http://www.atheistrev.com/2010/08/hconres-274-threatens-to-put-god-in.html

Please pass along a message to voters in support of Wynne LeGrow. LeGrow is running openly as a non-believer against the religious nut, Randy Forbes.

Take a look at the war on intelligence that Randy supports.

Anyone from Warren County or surrounding area want to carpool? I have gas $$ and can do a lot of potluck, but my car is currently iffy. It would be me and my 15 year old son.

Infinite Monkey (is that you Matt?), how ’bout you?

    Wait wait wait whaaat?

    You’re going to be HERE?

I don’t know if I can make it to Amherst, but if you want a tour of Lynchburg’s proud Christian educational center by a local, I’m your girl! I graduated from the heathen school on the opposite hill. I even know a really nice cafe with a really nice Christian book and woo selection.
