Announcing the Secular Coalition for Arizona

The Secular Coalition for America is set to introduce its first state affiliate!

This is part of Sean Faircloth’s Secular Decade plan (PDF). And of all the places to begin this program, Arizona has to be at the top of the list right now.

There’s a party to celebrate the new group on Tuesday, October 12th and you can RSVP here. Arizona State Representative Kyrsten Sinema will be on hand as well.

I’m really excited about this. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a Secular Coalition in your state? The ACLU is wonderful, but they don’t necessarily focus on our issues or advocate our positions. The SCA will. So I hope this is the start of something much bigger.

    About Kyrsten:
Very true. I Wish more elected Arizonans were like her.

Come to Texas! We try….er… harder!

  • I am currently reading Kyrsten Sinema’s book, Unite and Conquer, about building coalitions. I like it–and it’s funny too!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! All of us, and especially our Chair (Executive Director), Matt Schoenley, have worked all year to make SC Arizona happen. Please come out and show your support and by all means spread the word!
