Foundation Beyond Belief Gives Away Over $20,000 During Second Quarter

Foundation Beyond Belief, a non-profit group I work with that encourages atheists to give to charities, just wrapped up its second quarter, and our members have outdone themselves.

At the end of March, we were able to report that our beneficiaries received a total of $12,500. Now, at the end of June, we can say that our slate of charities received a total of $22,535! That’s amazing.

Here’s what the breakdown looked like:

It feels good to know that a group of atheists can make a difference to these organizations. And I hope the amounts we give to each charity will only go up from here on out.

Pardon me for going off topic, and maybe I missed it but are you only concerning yourself with atheism within the United States? Because the first female prime minister in Australia has stated she doesn’t believe in God.

Speaking of organizations, does anybody know why the Freedom from Religion Foundation left the Secular Coalition? I didn’t see anything on the SCA history page about it.

  • @I Ron Butterfly — They left for personal reasons and did not care to make those reasons public, which is why the SCA hasn’t put out anything about it.
