Jesus on the Dashboard? May 8, 2010

Jesus on the Dashboard?

Apparently, Lord Jesus Christ was hit by a car in Massachusetts.

Christ was treated and released from the hospital.

Of course, there’s a twist to the story.

There has to be.

We all know Jesus would never set foot in Massachusetts.

We all know Jesus would never set foot in Massachusetts.

    That’s why I live here. /nod

Curious – was it Jesus F. Christ or Jesus H. Christ?

Christ was treated and released from the hospital…

    …after 3 days?

Northampton, Massachusetts is one of the most liberal, progressive towns in Massachusetts. It is the residence of many of the professors and students of UMass Amherst and other colleges in the area.

The AP article mentions that the cops checked his ID. Maybe now we can finally know exactly when Jesus was born.

Upon rising from the street he was heard to mutter, ‘thank me I’m OK, but the Atheists are right, why didn’t I stop the car?’

Lord Jesus Christ? Makes me think of Lord Voldemort. Now that I think about it, Horcruxes would be a much more interesting explanation for the resurrection story than being Yahweh’s favorite.

  • I read this story and immediately wanted to burst into a rousing chorus of “Plastic Jesus”.

I don’t care if it rains or freezes
‘Long as I got my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
    Through my trials and tribulations
And my travels through the nations
With my plastic Jesus I’ll go far

See all the verses and sing along at Plastic Jesus, (the lyrics used by Ernie Marrs). Some of them are hilarious.

  • Bad judgment call on my part. I figured that since I could walk on water, crossing the street would be a cinch. No such luck. That’s the last time I try to catch a Sox game to recharge the curse against them. Bet you people didn’t know we up here root for the Yanks, eh? Add that one to the serman!
