Secular Student Takes on Texas Creationist in Interview

My friend Matt LaClair, a Secular Student Alliance board member, co-hosts a radio show called Equal Time for Freethought. Tonight, his guest will be Don McLeroy, a young-Earth creationist leader on the Texas Board of Education. He’s one of the people responsible for the revised History standards and a proponent of Creationism in the classroom.

The show will be streaming live here at 6:30 p.m. (ET) and available for download here afterwards.

I know Matt has a lot of tough questions he wants to ask. This won’t be some mild, why-did-I-bother-listening-to-that? sort of interview. I can’t wait to hear it.

I was glad to hear that he was receptive to Matt’s criticism of the standards. It’s worth a listen, for those who didn’t listen live.
