This website is written in Spanish but here’s a rough English translation.
The purpose is to educate Argentinians about the power the Catholic Church has over the country and how one can leave the church.
Reader Néstor explains how the site helps:
They provide information and awareness to people here about how the church uses their names, just because they have been baptized and they appear on their database records, as a base to put political pressure on the government on those issues that they want to remain as they are now (gay marriage, sexual education, abortion, etc). Not to mention the enormous amount of money that the state gives them to support the religion that is an insult to the atheists and people from other religions.
Néstor adds that Argentina’s constitution used to say (until 1994) that a person could not be president unless he/she was a Catholic.
This is an extremely useful site for those Spanish speakers who want to find a way to disassociate themselves with the Argentinian Church.
