Atheist Party in Chicago

Since the weather is so wonderful outside, we decided to have a little atheist get-together near Chicago!

I’ll be there. So will Blag Hag and Godless Girl! (It sounds like a convention for superheroes…)

You *know* you want to join us. Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, January 2nd
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Where: Palos Hills Village Pub
9750 S Roberts Rd
Palos Hills, IL 60465-1470

Come by yourself, bring a friend, or find me a wife and tell her to join us. In any case, please comment and let us know you’re coming just so we can get a head count for the table.

Hope to see you there 🙂

  • Like I told Jen, you have to be doing this when the gf and I are not visiting her family in the Chicago area. It is a conspiracy, I tells ya!

A 45 minute drive from the city center is your definition of near?

  • A 45 minute drive from the city center is your definition of near?

Sure… I think everyone who lives within an hour of the city just says they live near Chicago 🙂

  • Sesoron

Damn you, Hemant, now I’m going to be spending a while figuring out the best superhero analogues to the prominent modern atheists. If we could keep the anviliciousness toned down, it would make for a great comic book.

Iron Hitchens and BatPZ team up to take down Bill Donohue, while SpiderTyson cracks wise from the sidelines!

  • Hmm. 9 hour drive or $1100 airfare? I’m considering it.

  • Jdole84

I thought if I lived in lakeview this would be close, turns out its 30 miles away!

  • CC

Finally, something in my neighborhood and I have another commitment!

  • Dekker

Very cool, Palos is the town where I grew up. I’m going to try my best to make it there, I really need to meet some like-minded people in the area.

  • Jeremy

My wife and I should be there on Saturday. She’s under the weather now, so if she is still sick, it will probably just be me.

  • Jenn

🙁 Wish I could make it. Let’s do it again soon, and somewhere in the city proper would be lovely. (crossing her fingers in Lakeview East)

  • Chris

I should be able to attend.

  • Palos Hills, IL is not in Chicago.

This is not unlike throwing a party in Maine and advertising it as Boston.
