***Update***: Margot’s CD is now available on iTunes!
…
Margot Saites comes from a fundamentalist Christian family and only began her journey to atheism when she was 30.
She recently put out a CD of her own music (a talent I find absolutely incredible) and one of her songs, “Steeple Hands,” has lyrics readers might appreciate:
When it’s time to choose a side, I’ll give you a clue
Where the theories collide, It’s not hard to misconstrue
We’re born with innocent wonder
Don’t let religion steal your thunder
You can hear a sampling of the song here. (I sense some Neko Case in her — and that’s my highest form of compliment to a singer!)
