Still Recovering

It was a very long weekend, between the Creation Museum trip, the Secular Student Alliance conference, and the two-day SSA board meeting.

Thankfully, lots of wonderful things happened on the trip. I’ll post my thoughts on the Museum/Conference soon enough. For now, I have a day to play catch up on everything I missed.

If you attended either event, I’d love to hear your feedback!

If you didn’t attend, what would you like to know about the weekend?

I was there (Nick Wallin, from the University of Minnesota – Campus Atheists, Skeptics, and Humanists), and I thought it was great.

The Creation “Museum” was very… interesting. It was fun to see the craziness, though.

As for the SSA conference, it was incredibly informational, was great networking, and gave me a boost of motivation that I intend to take into the coming school year!

I look forward to see what you thought of the Creation Museum 🙂

I’d be interested in knowing what you feel was gained by the group and yourself visiting the museum, particularly when it is easy to find photos and descriptions of the museum’s displays already online.

(Is there more to it than a public display of an atheist group behaving themselves?)

  • My initial thoughts are posted on my blog:

    More to come…

Man, must be one hell of a hangover. 🙂

Since I wasn’t able to make it I loved being able to watch your lecture. I’m hoping that all the talks were taped by one person or another and that they’ll be put up somewhere so I can watch them all. Maybe you could ask for people to send you the other talks if they taped them and you could put them all together in one place. That would be the best thing ever for those of us who couldn’t make it. I’d be like we were still there.

  • Adam and others — The talks were all taped and will be soon be up on the Secular Student Alliance’s website 🙂
