Atheist Jewelry

Here’s a sweet necklace to give someone as a gift 🙂

It was made by Surly Johnny and Surly Amy at Surly Ramics, who say:

Atheists aren’t evil or immoral; they are lovely people who should have cool jewelry to wear. This necklace is for atheists. 🙂

You know, my birthday is in two weeks…

  • It’s nice, it really is. Excellent sentiment. But you know, a little redundant. A thoughtful thinker? How about “trustworthy” or even “ticklish” if you’re nasty?

Bought! I have an atheist necklace from the American Atheists, which I like, but this is far more artistic. Thanks for posting this! I can’t wait to wear it!

  • Thanks so much for posting my necklace! I am flattered. 🙂 The one that is posted just sold but if anyone would like one…I am in the process of making more and can make them in lots of different colors. Just shoot me an email at or convo me through Thanks again! Great blog and yay for atheists!

  • Ok I think I like Shane’s version better! But I did just post a few more on my site and one with the Atomic symbol with the A…and there are a lot of other designs in my “smart jewelry” section.

  • Wow that is so cute! I want one too, too bad it’s sold out 🙁

I would suggest swapping out “Thoughtful” for “Tolerant”.

  • Wow that is so cute! I want one too, too bad it’s sold out 🙁

They are available if you want!

    Atheist aren’t evil or immoral

  • Quoting Wil Smith in Independence Day, “Man, I gotta get me one of these”!

  • Flourishing Atheist

I agree with DaveA, but heck, I’m still getting one, it’s so adorable!

I wish I could be accepted by my family, but my entire family is either made up of Roman Catholics, non denominationals or Evangelicals so there goes my acceptance, not that I care, I just wish I didn’t feel like I have to hide it away from everyone, my brother and mother are the only ones in my family who know, respecting my mother’s wishes, she asks I don’t tell the rest of my family, but seeing this kind of support, and love for it, makes me proud to be an Atheist, we aren’t bad people, but people seem to think we are, I hope one day that changes…

    I stopped believing when I was 14, I am now 20, I am now a woman, no it’s not a phase…

*I stopped believing, best thing I ever did, I don’t have to painfully lie to myself any longer…*
