Pam’s House Blend has audio of Elizabeth Dole‘s swan song in her (hopefully losing) Senate seat battle against Democrat Kay Hagan. It’s a robocall that went out to North Carolinian voters:
The message:
“There are a couple of things you should consider when you go vote. For over ten years, Kay Hagan belonged to an exclusive all-white country club in Greensboro. She has taken money and attended a fundraiser at the home of the Godless Americans PAC founder. A group that wants to take “under God” out of the Pledge of Allegiance, and end Christmas as a federal holiday. Help send a message to Kay Hagan that she should not represent us in the U.S. Senate. Paid for by the Elizabeth Dole Committee.”
Disgusting.
I’ll admit — I’m pleased to see that Dole’s anti-atheist bigotry has helped contribute to her lower poll numbers. It’ll send a message to others considering the same smear tactic when Dole gets booted out of the Senate tomorrow.
These attacks aren’t working either — God has already endorsed Hagan.
