I’ve mentioned Specialist Jeremy Hall on several occasions.
There was an excellent report on his lawsuit against the military for religious proselytizing Tuesday night on Anderson Cooper 360:

I saw this as the top story on CNN last night and kept checking here to see when you’d post about it. 😉
Way to go, Jeremy!!!!
Good for him for standing up for himself.
I’m getting so sick of Christians .. I know I shouldn’t lump them all together but after seeing stories like this I sometimes can’t help myself.
I’m glad to see this getting the attention it deserves. I couldn’t help myself and read the comments on the article referenced in the video.
Seems a lot of people endorse the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, but of course it wouldn’t apply to the prayer and proselytizing that currently seems to be common in the military.
Its interesting the way the Pentagon says Hall’s case has no merit but has also assigned Hall a bodyguard. That may be a religious way of thinking: protection against an imaginary threat.
I really liked this report. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a reporter asking good, critical questions without slipping in “But where does your morality come from?” or something equally demeaning.
Am I the only one that hears her say “atheists don’t believe in …love”?
