Ashley Schulte of the Ohio Rational Response Squad is back with her second video highlighting the Creation Museum. The first was about the Rally for Reason. This one takes us inside…

You get a chance to see the “scientific movies” that visitors get to see. In this case, you get the responses to those videos, too 🙂

    It is truly disturbing to see how these creationists, to such a degree, are manufacturing and twisting the evidence to fit their beliefs, rather than letting the existing evidence shape their reality. I mean, their delusion is absolutely awestriking!

  • As I watched the video, I kept vacillating between laughter and disgust… and I follow Christ! It’s just appalling to me how people can distort scientific facts simply to try to jam a square peg into a round hole. Don’t get me wrong, like I said, I follow Christ and put great importance on the Bible, but to blatantly treat science as a deception (without basis) and then to subsequently create a new “science” to back up a belief that every last word in the Bible is absolutely literal (and ignoring the fact that it was written in history in time periods and cultures that had little if any knowledge of science) makes me feel like I need to apologize to everyone for the wayward family members who got a little too trashed and stirred up all kinds of trouble last night…

  • Wow. I don’t know what to say. Interesting that there was a big political display about the evils of a secular society. I thought this was supposed to be a science museum?
    Hilarious and disturbing all at the same time.

    Before now I never knew how similar plants could exist on both sides of an ocean. But now I do: the plants uprooted themselves and sailed across on rafts. It all makes so much sense all of a sudden.

    OMFG! That is just horrifying! They are mixing myth, bigotry, prejudice, discrimination, hatred, and more all in one as they try to throw in guilt and shame. 🙁 Where do they get off saying that without religion we would all be just savages? That is simply not true. IMHO, this place is trying to promote another form of Hitler’s ideology. 🙁 They are perpetuating Church thought/mind control of the Dark Ages and to me all of this is just simply horrifying.

    Frankly, I don’t find any of this funny. I find it very disturbing and IF you remember history, it was the Church who did all the terror of the Dark Ages, Inquistions, Crusades, mass killing of non-Christians, Witch Hunts, and alike in order to spread X-ianity. IMHO, this could easily start another reign of terror that has been underground for years or rather hidden in churches like my great uncle’s and grandmother’s. 🙁

    What a bunch of unadulterated bullcrap. Even worse than the misinformation and ignorance that stinks up the place is the pervasive mistrust and suspicion they spread about science and the scientific method.

    They want their followers to think that there’s a huge conspiracy against Christians and they’re all victims of the eeevvvviiiilll secular society, with godless scientists steering the ship of doom.

    The worst part is that the “sheep” have been trained to turn off their brains and accept anything these authority figures say is true. It’s not only disgusting, it’s downright dangerous.

    I’m with Chuck Smallkowski – impressionable kids should not be allowed into that place.

    Again, a not so good attempt to make us look bad. In fact, if it where up to me, I’d buy it from you and use it for advertisement.
    Alow me to explain why this video is a wonderful piece.
    The footage is excellnet. From that alone I’d pay to see the rest in person.
    The soundtract is intense and inspires.
    If I was to see this on youtube, I think I’d go and check it out.

    Did that video actually say that plants and animals crossed the oceans by riding on uprooted trees? Then when the flood waters subsided, these trees managed to be replanted — upright?

    Did all that happen to the tune of the “Log Driver’s Waltz?”

    And they think evolution is improbable?

    You claim that you put “great importance” on the Bible yet deny what it clearly
    says about creation? Even a “friendly” atheist can see the hypocrisy in that.

    On the flip side, this is exactly what you are doing but on a much more deceptive and dangerous scale. You blatanly treat God’s word as untrustworthy (without basis) and then subsequently create a new “hermeneutic” to back up a belief that
    every last word of evolutionary theory is true. You will answer to God for that.
    Lucas goes on to say that those who believe the Bible are, “ignoring the fact that it was written in history in time periods and cultures that had little if any knowledge of science.”

    And you are ignoring this fact,

    “Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:20-21
