During the American Atheists convention, we were given a slip of paper that asked us what question we would like to ask God (if there was one). Those who chose to do so wrote a question down, put the slip of paper in a box, and then forgot all about it.
Then, during dinner one night, guess who graced us with a visit?!
He pulled our questions out of the box one-by-one and began to answer them…
It was hilarious.
In this case, Jesus is also known as comedian Troy Conrad. He’s a former fundamentalist Christian and door-to-door Bible salesman. But now, he portrays Jesus in his stand-up comedy act. (Some friends went to see him perform at a comedy club after the conference one night and said he was excellent and received a good response in front of a non-atheist crowd as well.)
Troy had our crowd cracking up. Here’s a video where he performed a similar act, improvising answers to the audience’s questions:
There are plenty more videos of Troy on YouTube. The Warning Disclaimer for the Bible video is a particularly humorous one 🙂
I wonder if he gets booked in churches…
