Congressional Scorecard

The Secular Coalition for America recently released a scorecard rating our elected officials on a number of issues relevant to the non-believing community. Most of them are relating to judicial nominations for reasons explained on the webpage.

Says the SCA:

In the House, only seven members (less than 2%) of Congress earned a perfect score of 100%:

  • Earl Blumenauer (D-OR)
  • Barney Frank (D-MA)
  • Dennis Kucinich (D-OH)
  • Barbara Lee (D-CA)
  • Jim McDermott (D-WA)
  • Pete Stark (D-CA)
  • Lynn Woolsey (D-CA)

163 Representatives did not vote “correctly” on any of the issues.

There were 18 perfect scores in the Senate. All of them from Democrats as well.

Idaho’s 4 members of Congress voted “incorrectly” on everything. As did Wyoming’s 3.

A nicer version of the scorecard is found on the SCA website, but here are links to PDF files for the Senate and the House of Representatives.
