YouTuber Tries Beating an Arcade Game with Science But Discovers Something Else

Have you ever seen the Cyclone game at an arcade? It’s one of those games where a light quickly moves around in a circle around the machine and you have to push a button to get it to stop on the jackpot.

YouTuber and engineer Mark Rober created a gadget to help him beat the game. All he had to do was time it just right so that it would start to push the button when the light was only a certain number of bars away. That’s exactly what he did. But it still didn’t work.

What does that say about the game…?

Turns out the scientific approach convinced Rober the game was rigged. Even when the players are doing everything right, they’re guaranteed to lose a certain number of times.

Stay away if you want more tickets.
