Here’s One Way to Respond to Donation Requests from Your Religious Alma Mater

Rather than give money to her religious alma mater, and rather than just throw away the letter requesting donation to the school, one Redditor offered her own message to the ultra-strict Mormon school BYU-Idaho:

The CES Letter is Jeremy Runnells‘ attempt to get answers from the Mormon Church regarding the aspects of the religion that are troubling, whether it’s the origin story, the racist history, or the contradictions in teachings.

Redditor EmancipatedMolly wrote that she had given to BYU-I for the past 15 years, but it looks like she’s since changed her mind about the religion. And she’s aware this will go in the trash, but not before a student who opens the mail sees it.

It’s better than just throwing the donation envelope away.
