Of Course Bill O’Reilly’s “Mad at God” Over His Sexual Misconduct Allegations

On today’s episode of his subscription-based show, Bill O’Reilly responded to the New York Times report that Fox News Channel paid a woman $32 million to settle a sexual harassment suit against him (before than renewing O’Reilly’s contract).

Needless to say, he denied everything. He blamed the media for essentially making it all up because of his fame, knowing that he was unable to offer details in his defense because of confidentiality clauses. But he also blamed a Higher Power:

“You know, am I mad at God? Yeah, I’m mad at him,” O’Reilly said on the latest episode of his web series, “No Spin News.” “I wish I had more protection. I wish this stuff didn’t happen. I can’t explain it to you. Yeah, I’m mad at him.”

God really is the perfect person for O’Reilly to look up to during all this. After all, God impregnated a woman without her consent and came away from it a hero to billions.

O’Reilly, like Roger Ailes before him, has several harassment charges leveled against him, charges he settled for millions of dollars many times over, and he has fewer allies with each passing day. At this point, who’s on his side other than Conservative Jesus?

But if God existed, then I would hope protecting O’Reilly ranks much lower on the priority list than helping out the women he allegedly harassed, multiple times, before paying them millions to shut up about it.
